Develop AI solutions tailored to African realities, capable of addressing the continent’s major challenges across various sectors (education, health, agriculture, governance, etc.). These solutions also target humanitarian and development actors to enhance the impact of their fieldwork.

AI governance, risks, and safety

Support African states in developing robust legal, ethical, and strategic frameworks for AI governance. Promote African-led efforts to define and implement safety standards that ensure AI systems are safe, reliable, and controllable. Establish mechanisms to identify, monitor, and mitigate AI-related risks, with a strong focus on human-centered and context-sensitive approaches.
